Biography

I did my BDS in 1981 from deMontmorency College of Dentistry, Lahore. Then, completed a Masters in Pediatric Dentistry from The University of Adelaide, Australia in 1991. I am Fellow of International Academy of Dentistry (FADI 1997) and American Society of Dentistry for Children (FASDC 1997). I obtained my Doctorate in Pediatric & Preventive Dentistry from the University of Greifswald, Germany in 2018. I have published more than 100 papers in reputed National and international journals. I have been serving in editorial boards of several National and international journals. I have lectured in various parts of the world on various topics. My research interests include; dental caries in children, oral health status of special children, oral health knowledge and practices of parents and children, early identification of overweight/obesity by dentists; and pediatric dental sedation. I have served as Head of Pediatric Dentistry Division, and Program Director of Pediatric Dentistry Postgraduate Program in King Saud University College of Dentistry. I am currently Co-Editor of Pakistan Oral & Dental Journal; and President of Pakistan Academy of Pediatric Dentistry.
