He is a graduate of King Edward Medical College, is Head of Physiology Department and has thirty five years experience of teaching Physiology at the most prestigious institutions of the country and abroad. He has received extensive training in Physiology through his postgraduate work and by an active participation in the continuing medical education programmes like medical educational planning, system of evaluation and research etc. He has published to his credit an international book on Cardiovascular Physiology, two international research papers in highly esteemed journals and more than sixteen national research papers. He has served as an examiner on the platform of national and international universities.
