Department of Paediatrics

 

This department was established in 1979. It Presently consists of four outpatient clinics, a vaccination centre, a neonatal ICU, General wards, diarrhea ward, isolation ward and an acute care ward with central oxygen supply. The department enjoys full accreditation and recognition for FCPS –Part II Training since 1998.

 

Capabilities

 

Its out Patient Department works five days a week, and has a proper vaccination center. Separate days for growth monitoring, vaccination and well being clinic are allocated in addition to daily routine outdoor treatment.

Inpatient Services

 

• 25 beds highly equipped neonatal

   intensive care unit

• 10 beds children intensive care unit

• 85 beds Children ward with separate bays

   for diarrhea, and isolation cases

 

NICU

 

NICU (Neonatal Intensive Care Unit) is a state of the art neonatal unit with capacity for 25 neonates. It is equipped with incubators ventilators, phototherapy units and other sensitive monitoring instruments.

 

Children ITC

 

There is a separate intensive care unit for children

with 10 beds capacity, central oxygen and

monitoring instruments and also a separate NURSERY

with 15 incubator / cots with all facilities of child

nursery including ventilators.

Head of Department

Associate Professor and Head of the department. Graduate of Punjab Medical College, Faisalabad and fellow of the college of Physicians and Surgeons. Did his fellowship in Pediatric Nephrology from London (UK). He is supervisor and examiner for FCPS in Pediatrics. His field of interest is Pediatric renal medicine.
