Cardiac Center

CMH Lahore Medical College

Construction of this facility commenced less than two years ago. It is now a masterpiece of architecture, and houses one of the most modern, well-equipped and advanced cardiac centers of the country with state of the art diagnostic, therapeutic and operative facilities.

It was inaugurated on March 29, 2008 by the President of Pakistan General Pervez Musharraf. With the inauguration of this Center, the entire cardiac patient community now feels a sense of relief as most the cardiac ailments can be managed locally under on roof, which was previously not possible and patients with complicated cardiac ailments had to travel invariably to Armed Forces Institute of Cardiology (AFIC) Rawalpindi for treatment.

This 75-bedded cardiac center is fully equipped to manage all types of indoor and outdoor cardiac cases and emergencies. Two Bath digital laboratories with all facilities for carrying out all interventional cardiology procedures including angiography, intravscular ultrasound, angioplasty and Mira coronary stenting using both the arm and the leg approach, temporary and permanent cardiac pacing.

Two operation theaters of the Cardiac Center are specially designed and are state of the art modular operation theaters imported from Germany, to cater for all aspects of cardiac surgical procedures. It is equipped with laminar airflow system and separate air-conditioning for both the theaters, thus creating a totally infection-free environment.
