Department of Biochemistry
Department of Biochemistry like other departments has been established on the basis of the fundamental requirements of Pakistan Medical and Dental Council. It has a well equipped laboratory being managed by qualified and experienced technical staff. Biochemistry laboratory is equipped with all essential lab equipment to perform experiments. The equipment includes centrifuges, controlled temperature water bath, spectrophotometers, hot air oven, magnetic stirrers, digital balance, electric water distillation apparatus and microscopes etc.Dr. Nasreen Sharif

Dr. Nasreen Sharif did her MBBS in 1969 from Fatima Jinnah Medical College Lahore and completed M.Phil (Biochemistry) in 1980. She has been involved in teaching Biochemistry at undergraduate and postgraduate levels since 1971 at various medical institutes. She worked as Professor and HOD of Biochemistry at Fatima Jinnah Medical College and PGMI Lahore. Her scientific papers have been published in various scientific journals. Presently she is working as professor and head of Biochemistry Department.
