Department of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery
The surgery department is equipped with 20 dental units and provides services to patients requiring minor
and major oral surgeries. The department soon plans facility of operation theatre, recovery room and surgical
ward. The Department provides instruction in clinical science in oral and maxillofacial surgery, local
anesthesia, and management of the medically compromised patients and some aspects of pharmacology
to the dental students. The Department, apart from teaching, focuses in clinical research in the areas of
implant dentistry, imaging and reconstruction surgery.

Associate Professor and Head of Department
He graduated from de’Montmorency College of dentistry, stood first in Punjab
University and was awarded with Gold Medal. He did MCPS (Oral Surgery)
in 1992, and later MDS in 2001. He has teaching experience of more than
twenty years. He has a number of research publications with special interest in
management of maxillofacial trauma.
